Pu Er Tea
Pu Er Tea is a fermented tea from Yunnan, China. It is an unusual tea. Unlike others which are consumed shortly after production, it can be over 50 year old. Over time, it acquires an earthy flavour due to fermentation and its flavour improves with age. While the broad tea leaves are still slightly moist, they are heaped into piles where a bacterium creates a reaction. The leaves are then dried loose or compressed into tea bricks or cakes before storage for the aging process.
Drinking Pu Er Tea can help reduce cholesterol, according to scientific studies. It also helps digestion (in particular, fatty food). It is the perfect tea after a heavy meal.
Our Pu Er Tea is over two year old on average. The brew is dark red, and has a bold earthy taste. For optimum brewing, use boiling water. It is highly recommended for existing coffee drinkers looking for tea with a strong taste.
Why purchase our Pu Er Tea?
Our Pu Er Tea is packed in tetrahedral shaped teabags from Japan using the latest Japanese technology. These revolutionary food grade teabags allow better infusion compared to the usual paper teabags in the market. In addition, the extra volume of these teabags enables us to use whole-leaf tea instead of the usual tea powder. Hence, with just our teabag and boiling water, you can enjoy a cup of tea with an aroma and taste equivalent to that of tea brewed traditionally using a teapot ! What's more, you can view the entire process of the tea leaves expanding.
How to prepare our Pu Er Tea?
